चला लक्ष्मीश्चला: प्राणाश्चले जीवितमन्दिरे |
चलाचले च संसारे धर्म एको हि निश्चलः||
मानव द्वारा अर्जित धन-संपत्ति अस्थायी और नष्ट होने वाली होती है तथा उसके शरीर रूपी मन्दिर में स्थित प्राण शक्ति जो उसे जीवित रखती है , वह भी अस्थायी है ओर कभी भी नष्ट हो सकती है | यह सारा संसार ही अस्थायी है और अकेला धर्म ( सद् आचरण और तत्सम्बन्धी नियमों का पालन करना ) ही अपरिवर्तनीय है |
Wealth acquired by a person is always unsteady and perishable, and so also the life force enshrined in human body. All worldly existence is also perishable, but surely only the 'Dharma' (religious austerity and righteousness) is invariable.
