Subhashitam - 109

राजा राष्ट्रकृतं पापं राजपापं पुरोहितः ।
भर्ता च स्त्री कृतं पापं शिश्यपापं गुरुर्व्रजेत् ॥

Meaning:
The king must answer for his country's sin, the priest for the king's sin, the husband for his wife's sin and the guru for the disciple's sin.
