कांस्यभोजीन्यायः

A disciple promised never to take his meal from a bell-metal plate. But his guru was resolved to break that promise, and so he began to use bell-metal plates at the dinner time. As it was binding on the part of the disciple to eat the remainder of the food left by the guru, he could not but break his promise. It is used to denote that in cases of mutual relations preference must be given to him who is higher in position.
