काकतालीयन्यायः
It takes its origin from the unexpected and sudden fall of a palm fruit upon the head of a crow (so as to kill it) at the very moment of its sitting on a branch of that tree. It is used to denote an unexpected and accidental occurence, whether welcome or otherwise.
