श्लोकः
तत्त्ववित्तु महाबाहो गुणकर्मविभागयोः।
गुणा गुणेषु वर्तन्त इति मत्वा न सज्जते।।३-२८।।
सन्धि विग्रहः
तत्त्ववित् तु महाबाहो गुणकर्मविभागयोः।
गुणा गुणेषु वर्तन्ते इति मत्वा न सज्जते।।३-२८।।
श्लोकार्थः
हे महाबाहो! गुण-कर्म-विभागयोः तत्त्ववित् तु
‘गुणाः गुणेषु वर्तन्ते’ इति मत्वा न सज्जते।
शब्दार्थः
3.28 तत्त्ववित्=the knower of the Absolute Truth तु=but महाबाहो=O mighty-armed one गुणकर्म=of works under material influence विभागयोः=differences गुणा=senses गुणेषु=in sense gratification वर्तन्ते=are being engaged इति=thus मत्वा=thinking न=never सज्जते=becomes attached
Meaning
3.28: The knower of the reality, O mighty-armed one (mahā-bhāho), knows the difference between the gunas and their actions. He, knowing that the gunas act on (objects of) gunas, is not attached to them.
